From a moviegoer’s perspective, the 2026 horror year offers pattern and spread. Dates shift. Ratings change. Casts reconfigure. But the spine of 2026 horror is set. There is recognizable IP where it plays, inventive vision where it helps, and a calendar that shows studios meet the timing for scares. The awards and festival pipeline into 2027 will come into focus once the fall festivals lock, and it would not be surprising to see at least one late-arriving specialty entry join the party. For now, the job is simple, shape lean trailers, keep secrets, and let the scares sell the seats.
